Classification of Computers
अब तक Computer का Classification उसकी Structure, Work System एवं Size-type के Base पर किया गया है| वहीं अभी तक जो Capacity Mainframe Computer, Mini Computer या Work Station की होती थी|आज का Personal Computer उतना ही या उससे अधिक Work करता है| मुख्य रूप से Use किये जाने वाले Computers में Personal Computer, Notebook Computer, Pocket Computer, Workstation Computer, Mainframe तथा Super Computer आते है|
Computers Based on the size
Super Computer
Super Computer, Data Storage Capacity, Performance और Data Process के मामले में सबसे Powerful होते है। पहला Super Computer 1964 में बनाया गया था| जिसका नाम CDC 6600 था| Super Computer बहुत ही ख़ास Computer होते है, इनका उपयोग बड़ी और Important Research और Scientific Works को करने के लिए किया जाता है। उदाहरण के तौर पर इनका उपयोग अंतरिक्ष यान को Lanch करने और उनको Control करने के लिए और अंतरिक्ष में खोज करने के लिए किया जाता है। Super Computer को कार्य करने के लिए ज्यादा जगह की जरुरत पड़ती है| और ये Computer बहुत महँगे होते है।
Mainframe Computer
Mini computer
Mini Computer ज्यादा use होने वाला Computer है| जो की Mainframe Computer से कम Power वाला और Micro Computer से अधिक Powerful होता है| जहा 1970 और 80 के दशक Mainframe Computer Develop हुये| वही Mini Computer ने कम Power वाले Mainframe Computer के बीच की कमी को पूरा किया| इनका Size Mainframe Computer से काफी छोटा होता है|
Micro computer
एक Small Digital Computer जिसका CPU ( Central Processing Unit ) Microprocessor के Design पर Based होता है| यह एक समय में एक ही Person के द्वारा Use किया जाता है| जिसके कारण इन्हें Personal Computer भी कहा जाता है| कभी बड़े Computer से कम Powerful Micro Computer अब के Mini Computer तथा Super Computer से अधिक Powerful हो चुके है|
Computers Based on Processor
Sequential Computer
- ऐसा Computer जिसमे एक साथ एक ही Instruction Execute होती है|
- Instruction की Discrete Series में एक Problem Break हो जाती है|
- Instruction को एक के बाद एक Sequentially रूप से Execute किया जाता है|
- Instruction के सभी Parts Single Processor पर Execute होते है |
- किसी भी समय केवल एक ही Instruction Execute हो सकता है|
Parallel Computer
- ऐसा Computer जिसमे एक साथ एक से ज्यादा Instruction Execute होती है|
- यह एक Single Processor वाला Computer है |
- प्रत्येक भाग के Instruction अलग-अलग Processor पर एक साथ Execute होते हैं|
- Multiple Instruction Parallely Execute होते है|
